Bigship Organization is a locally rooted, community-driven organization based in Mikindani Ward, Jomvu Sub-County, Mombasa County. We connect environmental protection with social justice and economic empowerment, working alongside coastal communities to restore degraded ecosystems and build sustainable livelihoods.
Founded by young people who wanted to change the negative status of their community, Big Ship provides socio-economic solutions and environmentally innovative initiatives as a means to end activities manifested through poor solid waste management, illegal logging and degradation of the mangrove forest ecosystems.
